VET in Schools (VETiS)

LarShar College of Beaute & Hair is a registered training organisation and offers Year 10 , 11 and 12 high school students, the opportunity to study a range of vocational education and training (VET) courses as part of their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).

Students have the option to choose between Beauty and Hairdressing programs.

The VETiS program provides you with the opportunity to gain:

  • practical hands-on training
  • valuable employability skills
  • credit towards a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)
  • real trade skills and qualifications while completing high school
  • a competitive edge in the employment marketplace
  • credit towards further study

To participate in the VETiS program students must:

  • remain enrolled in, and attend, a Queensland school throughout the duration of the program
  • be in year 10 11 or 12 to participate in most programs
  • identify the VETiS program in their Senior Education and Training (SET) plan
  • have attained a sound/achieving result in Year 10 numeracy and literacy subjects or equivalent prior to enrolling in the program.

Study Options

At LarShar College of Beaute & Hair all VETis programs are delivered face to face.

When studying your VETiS program at LarShar College of Beaute & Hair you will need to attend one day a week at the college, your school will have designated a day of study.

Course fees

LarShar College of Beaute & Hair is an approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the delivery of certain VETiS qualifications on the Queensland Training subsidies list at certificate levels I and II. The VETis programs are fully subsided while you comply with the regulations of enrolment.

Applying for VETiS program

 To apply for a VETiS program

  • you can download, print and complete the VETis enrolment form and take to your councillor / Vet Coordinator

  • contact your careers councillor / Vet Coordinator to obtain a Enrolment form to complete.

Enrolments must be submitted on the VETiS application form and signed by the student, their parents/guardians and the school Career Councilor / VET Coordinator. Your enrolment form must be submitted by your High School with a copy of your birth certificate to
