DESCRIPTION
Certificate III in Beauty Services has been designed to reflect the role of individuals who are competent in interacting with clients, providing a range of beauty services which may include, ensuring a safe working environment, providing treatments, including lash and brow treatment and waxing, make-up, nail services demonstrating and sell retail skin care and other cosmetic products and cosmetic tanning. This qualification is also designed to reflect the role of those who perform complex or non-routine activities involving responsibility or autonomy or collaboration with other as part of team
Training is in a salon setting, with a mix of practical work on clients, written work, workshops, and group discussion. Assessment includes theory work, demonstration of skills & participation in salon duties, written and or oral tests. All practical assessments will be required to be carried out on paying members of the public.

Successful graduates from Certificate III in Beauty Services program can become self-employed, work as a junior beauty therapist specialising in waxing, tinting, cosmetic tanning, eyelash extensions, manicure, pedicare and make-up or as a specialist in wedding or formal make-up.
