DESCRIPTION
​
Certificate III in Make-up has been designed to reflect the role of individuals who are competent in communicating in the workplace, interacting with customers, demonstrating, applying and selling make-up and retail skin care products, and will possess a range of well-developed technical and consultation skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. This includes working cooperatively with a range of individuals including photographers, fashion stylists and media production staff.
Training is at the college in a salon setting, with a mix of practical work on clients, written work, workshops, and group discussion. Assessment includes theory work, demonstration of skills & participation in salon duties, written and or oral tests. All practical assessments will be required to be carried out on paying members of the public.

This course is suitable for learners wishing to enter the makeup sector of the beauty industry. Students completing this course will typically work as part of a team or on a freelance basis in settings such as make-up studios, retail cosmetic counters, fashion and media sets and photography studios.
